It is a sweet made with edible gum (gondh), desi ghee, sugar, raisins and a whole lot of chunky nuts and dry fruits. It is called soot da ladoo because of its colour which is like cotton. It is extremely popular in Haryana and Punjab. To make Soot ka ladoo firstly the flour is sieved and oil is added in it. Stiff doughs are made with a little helping of water. Dough is fried and finally coated with ice sugar. Because of its popularity it can be easily found in any sweet shop in Amritsar.
