A Paranda or Parandi is an Indian hair accessory, put on the hair after making a plate. Parandi consists of black wool with a heavy hand work usually multi-coloured. The Paranda should be longer than the actual hair length. Many Punjabi folk songs refer to this fashion accessory along with phulkari, Kajal etc.
