Pankhi is a traditional hand fan used in Punjab household from royal to common. Ladies of Punjab used it in summers and now days it is used as a fashion accessory. With the coming of new electrical appliances such as Fan and AC, It is not used, but sometimes it is kept in houses as artefact or fashion statement. The designer pakhis are inspired from the artefacts of the Museum collection.
