Guru Ka Khooh

Gurdwara Shri Guru Ka Khooh is situated in the city of Tarn Taran. This Khooh was dug under Shri Guru Arjan Dev Ji's guidance. When Shri Darbar Sahib in Tarn Taran Sahib was constructed in the year 1647, Guru Sahib used to come here to rest after the day's work had finished. It is called Guru Ka Khooh because of the fact that this well was dug under the guidance of Guru Arjan Dev JI. During the time of digging, Guru Arjan Dev Ji used to sit here near the hut and that’s why this place is also known as Manji Sahib. Elegant stucco work can be observed inside the Gurdwara Manji Sahib along with intricate and beautiful design in the ceiling and inner walls.
